INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO BAN LANDMINES
AZERBAIJAN CAMPAIGN
What’s our aim?
Our aim is physical, psychological and mantel security of citizens and community as
whole;
to define the forms of practical management of necessary resources for mineclearing and to
bring them under strict control;
to increase assistance for mine-victims, as well as their medical and social
rehabilitation;
to ban inhumane arms on the territory of Azerbaijan.
What activities are we invalid in?
We monitor all the explosives on the whole territory of Azerbaijan;
we acquire exact information about those territories where landmines and explosives are
stored;
we analyze the causes of landmines other explosives usage and the ways to overcome them;
we carry out statistical calculation to define the number of invalids and the dead;
we carry out social — psychological surveys;
we have contacts with the similar foreign center and organizations;
we hold seminars and training courses;
we edit publications;
we edit special bulletins;
we are creating the information database on the movement to ban landmines and explosives;
we are creating the library;
we implement projects and programmers
we create public opinion against landmine use
