The American Bar Association Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative would
like to announce the following job opening:
Title: Administrative Assistant - Legal Advocacy Center
Position: Full-time position (Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.); occasional
weekend work required.
Start Date: Late January, 2006
Job Description: The Legal Advocacy Center Administrative Assistant
is responsible for day-to-day management of the Legal Advocacy Center, which
provides free legal aid to the general public. The center will be staffed by
15 legal fellows, 2 senior attorneys and the administrative assistant. The Administrative
Assistant will be responsible for maintaining client files, answering phones
and greeting visitors, arranging legal consultation appointments, and generally
ensuring the efficient operation of the Legal Advocacy Center. The Administrative
Assistant will also be responsible for providing translation and interpretation
for American staff as needed.
The Legal Advocacy Center Staff Attorney reports directly to the Legal Advocacy
Center Liaison (American staff). S/he works under the supervision of Liaison
to support the implementation of the programs in Azerbaijan.
· Fluency in English, Azeri and Russian.
· At least one year of office management work experience in an international
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent computer skills including Word, Outlook and Excel.
· Previous program management experience
