Visions of Azerbaijan magazine is looking for a full-time Journalist and Editorial Co-ordinator

Published in Baku by The European Azerbaijan Society, Visions of Azerbaijan is an English language magazine that provides a high-quality, colourful introduction to Azerbaijan’s history, culture, tourism, international relations and business. It also covers efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

We are seeking a full-time journalist and editorial co-ordinator who will be responsible for researching and writing articles for Visions of Azerbaijan magazine and assisting our digital team to develop the online video production. The successful candidate will have good writing skills, a proven track record in magazine journalism and a good grasp of social media. Fluency in Azerbaijani and a high standard of English are required. Fluency in Russian would be an advantage.

Key areas of work:

Researching and writing articles for Visions of Azerbaijan magazine

Generating ideas for magazine and video content

Liaising with the Editor, colleagues, external contributors and the Visions digital team

Updating Visions of Azerbaijan’s website, Facebook page and other social media

 Experience / skills required:

Excellent writing skills

Native fluency in Azerbaijani

High standard of written and spoken English

Fluency in Russian would be an advantage

Knowledge of Azerbaijan and the regions

Attention to detail and ability to work well in a team

University degree in journalism or another humanitarian subject (history, literature, language etc.)
